Zadar
The sea organ in Zadar is one of the symbols of the city. This unique architectural installation is located on the waterfront in the western part of the Zadar peninsula. The sea organs are around 70 meters long and are recognizable by their characteristic cascading shape that blends architecture with music. What makes the sea organ so special is that the sound they play is not created by air, but the sound they play is created by nature - waves and tide. As the power of the sea is unpredictable, the music created by the waves is unique and unrepeatable. Visit the sea organs before sunset and experience one of the most romantic sunsets. The author of the sea organ is architect Nikola Bašić from Zadar, who created them together with several co-authors. The sea organ has received many awards including the European prize for public urban space (CCCB, Barcelona).

Another symbol of the city of Zadar is situated next to the Sea organ - the Greeting to the Sun. The Greeting to the Sun has a total diameter of 22 meters and it consists of 300 multilayered glass panels arranged in a circle. The glass panels are at the waterfront level, below which there are photovoltaic solar modules. Lighting elements are installed in the installation that switch on after sunset. According to the programmed scenario, the lighting elements produce lighting effects in the rhythm of music played by sea organ. Be sure to visit Zadar and experience one of the most beautiful sunsets that has impressed the famous director Alfred Hitchcock. The sun is the center of the installation, while the installation also includes other planets from the solar system. Greeting to the Sun is the work of the Croatian architect Nikola Bašić.
