Sućuraj is a picturesque small town on the eastern tip of the island of Hvar in Croatia, located 77 km from the town of Hvar. It has about 400 inhabitants, and the population is engaged in tourism and fishing as the primary economic activities. Sućuraj is the center of the municipality and the administrative center of the eastern part of the island Hvar. The climate in Sućuraj is very favorable for year-round tourism and is characterized by long, hot and dry summers and mild and short winters, making it one of the sunniest and warmest places on the island Hvar, with more than 2,700 hours of sunshine annually. Sućuraj is very well connected to the mainland with ferry line from Drvenik on the Makarska riviera, and the journey is very short and takes about 25 minutes. During summer months ferry runs up to 15 times per day, while in winter months up to 5 times per day. Travel and hospitality industry in Sućuraj began to develop in the mid-60s of the 20th century, like in many other islands and coastal towns in Dalmatia. Beaches in Sućuraj

Near the city center, there are two beaches, Česminica and Bilina, while Perna bay is located 1.5 km and Mlaška bay 3 km away from the town. These two bays are unique in the Adriatic because both have a beautiful sandy beach with small natural sand like no other in the near and distant surrounding.
