Maslenica is a small town and port in the county of Zadar in Croatia. It belongs to the municipality Jasenica, which includes Rovanjska, Modrić and Zaton Obrovački. Maslenica is situated in a deep natural bay - Novigrad sea, not far from the mouth of the river Zrmanja, which flows into the bay. It was named after ancient olive trees that are still cultivated and grown along the coast. West of Maslenica is the imposing Maslenica bridge that connects continental Croatia with Dalmatia. The bridge was badly damaged during the war in 1990, but in 2006 the bridge was completely rebuilt and on it, you can experience the adventure of bungee jumping.
