Rakovica is a small village and municipality in the county of Karlovac in Croatia. It is located in the central part of Croatia, Kordun between Karlovac and Plitvice lakes. Rakovica has a prominent place in the history of Croatia where in 1871 revolt broke out, led by Eugen Kvaternik who was ultimately unsuccessful attempt to establish the free Croatian state.
