Šolta The island of Šolta is situated in the central Dalmatian archipelago of the Adriatic, between the islands of Brac and Drvenik Veli, and only 9 nautical miles south of the city of Split. Its area is 58 km2 and has a population of just over 1,700 inhabitants. Šolta is typical Adriatic island, covered by lush Mediterranean vegetation, cultivated fields, olive groves, and vineyards.
