Drvenik is a touristy little place situated in the municipality of Gradac in Dalmatia in Croatia. It is located 27 km south of the famous tourist resort Makarska and is part of the magic Makarska riviera. After the great earthquake of 1962, residents of the Upper Drvenik moved from the slopes of Biokovo mountain to the coast. Drvenik occupies two bays, Donja, and Gornja Vala, where are built many private family houses, apartments, hotels, and villas. Its tourist offer is based on the natural beauty and peaceful surroundings, long beaches, crystal clear seawater, pine forest, walkways by the sea and the mountain slope, sports, and recreational contents, bike trails, scenic views, historical and archeological sites, and traditional Dalmatian cuisine.
