Formerly two separate places Kaštelir and Labinci (Castelier - S. Domenica), spread and developed over the centuries and today merged in a unique place and the municipality Kaštelir-Labinci. Today in Kaštelir-Labinci lives about 1,500 inhabitants, who are mostly involved in small businesses, agriculture, wine, and olive oil production.
