Požega Požega is a city and seat of Požega-Slavonia county in Croatia. It is nicknamed the pearl of golden valley, because it is located in the heart of the spacious Požega valley which is surrounded by a wreath of old mountains: Psunj, Papuk, Krndija, Dilj, and Požeška Gora. The city has more than 26,000 inhabitants, and the main activities are food processing, textiles, wood processing, and furniture manufacturing, as well as wine production and fruit growing.
