Klenovica is a small tourist town in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County in Croatia. It is situated on the Kvarner coast 8 km south of Novi Vinodolski and it is part of the famous Vinodolski riviera. This small village is mentioned for the first time at the end of the 14th century and according to the historical documents it belonged to the nearby town of Senj and was under its administration. Throughout history, Klenovica has been tied to the sea, and the inhabitants are mainly engaged in agriculture, fishing, and tuna fishing was the most important form of fishing in this area. Around Klenovica, there are sources of fresh water along the coast or in the sea, which comes from the mountains in the hinterland, so the underwater world is rich in fish. Today Klenovica has about 350 inhabitants who are mainly oriented to tourism and are providing private accommodation in apartments, rooms and holiday homes. You can also explore the nearby resort of Crikvenica, a popular seaside destination on the Kvarner Riviera.
