Ražanj is a small tourist town situated in a bay 12 km southeast of Rogoznica. Traditionally it was a fishing village and in the early 70s of the 20th century, like in other Dalmatian coastal towns, started construction of apartments and holiday homes, after which tourism began developing intensively. The main road, the Adriatic highway is 7 kilometers away. Ražanj is protected on one side by a large protected bay, and on the other side by picturesque hills covered with pine trees, olive trees, and dense Mediterranean vegetation. Because of this Ražanj has retained its original peaceful Dalmatian atmosphere. In the center of the village, there are shops, cafe, restaurant, tourist info, vegetables, and fresh fish market. Guests looking for accommodation near Šibenik will find Ražanj a perfect peaceful retreat along the Dalmatian coast.
Due to the highly indented coastline guests can use a large selection of beaches from which the largest number are rocky beaches with private concrete terraces. For families with children because of the shallow sea the most suitable is the pebble beach near cape Varoš. For lovers of active holidays, we recommend the climb to the hill Movar located above Ražanj, whose summit offers a wonderful panoramic view of the entire Rogoznica bay. During summer months from Ražanj runs a regular shipping line to Rogoznica that is only 2 km away by the sea, where you can enjoy numerous cultural, entertainment and recreational activities.
