Drvenik Mali is a small picturesque island in Split-Dalmatia county in Croatia. It is located about 10 nautical miles southwest of the town of Trogir, and 1 nautical mile west of Drvenik Veli, from which it is separated by the Strait of Drvenik. Drvenik Mali has an area of only 3,40 km2, and the highest peak of Glavica is located in the west of the island and is only 79 meters high. The island is mainly settled in the central and eastern part where lives only about 50 permanent residents. The villagers are engaged in tourism, fishing, and agriculture, especially the cultivation of olive trees and carob. In addition to olive groves and carob, Drvenik Mali is rich in low Mediterranean vegetation and medicinal Mediterranean herbs. The island has no paved roads, and it is forbidden to use cars. All this makes Drvenik Mali a true oasis of untouched nature that has remained well preserved and that is not devastated with modern buildings.
