Tourist info Biograd

Biograd Biograd is a town and municipality in northern Dalmatia, Croatia. It is located on the Adriatic coast 28 km south of the city of Zadar and it is home to almost 6,000 inhabitants. It is located on a small peninsula surrounded by two small coves, Soline in south and Bosana on the north. Biograd is significant for being the former capital of the medieval Croatian Kingdom. It was first mentioned in the mid-tenth century, while in the XI. century was the seat of Croatian kings and bishops. Today the town is an important tourist center, and the first hotel was built back in 1935. Near the city center, there are several beautiful city beaches with many amenities in the shadow of ancient pine forests. The tourist offer of Biograd is very rich and varied and includes many sports and recreation facilities, like a water slide, water skiing, windsurfing, pedal boats, beach volleyball, rent a boat, diving, basketball, handball, bowling, mini-golf, and football. Numerous summer events and events complement the rich tourist offer. We recommend a day trip to the island of Pašman because it is connected by ferry with Biograd. Because of its location, it is ideal for visiting national parks Kornati and Krka and the Nature Park Vrana lake.
