If you want to know real Croatia and you don't like the tourist crowds, Bakar is the right destination for you. From here you can make trips and get to know the Northern Adriatic Area and its natural and cultural attractions (the Islands of Krk and Cres, Plitvice Lakes National Park, Risnjak, and Northern Velebit National Parks, the Istrian Peninsula, some amazing towns like Opatija(the old tourist towns in Croatia),Crikvenica, Pula, Rijeka, Rovinj. Address listed is on the ground floor of the building in which the apartment and the entrance is on the other side - road . because of the old town address relating to the front of the building which is located at 5 m from the sea . We have a restaurant VALLIS at the same address that works since 1982 , and I ask you to come to the same.I would refer you to the apartment . You can order food in a restaurant that i can deliver so no you do not have to cook :) And we can also arrange for breakfast ! The town itself has everything you need ,cafes and grocery stores, a post office, and a pharmacy. If you want to go swimming the nearest pebbly and rocky beaches are about 3 km away easily reachable by bus or a bike. The bus stop is just next to the house. There are plenty of other beaches within 10-15 km. However, staying in Bakar is meant for those people who are not primarily interested in sunbathing but rather in sightseeing, trekking, cycling, peace and quiet and relaxing atmosphere of a small town.
