In the central part of the island, in a sheltered bay of Pag gulf, there is a small tourist village - Metajna. It is best known for its sandy beaches and coves and crystal clear waters. On the northwest side, Metajna is connected by road with other places called Barbati - Zubovići, and Kustići - and with Novalja (12 km), the center of the northern part of the island. The nearby city of Novalja offers our guests the possibility of a dynamic nightlife with many discos, bars, restaurants, and shops. Metajna is located directly by the sea and is surrounded by hills, and to the south lies the green valley with low Mediterranean vegetation. It is also the region of the wine-growing with many small vineyards. During hot summer months continuous flow of air that circulates between the hills and the sea, brings freshness and allows residents and tourists a more enjoyable stay. Metajna is giving You a broad view of the entire Gulf of Pag, and beyond. The sea is crystal clear and pure. The sea current is giving a perfect flow of the sea, but the bays and gulf are sufficiently closed so that the sea is never too cold or too warm. In Metajna you will find all sorts of dishes, mostly seafood - all kinds of fish freshly caught by the local fishers. You can also enjoy shellfish, lamb, ham, cheese ... At every step, You can drink domestic wine, which is proud of every house in Metajna, and there are even homemade brandy and sherry, and healthy homemade tea, grapes, figs ... The greatest value of Metajna are the friendly hosts who will be at your disposal at all times.
