Tourist info Pašman - Dobropoljana
Dobropoljana is a small place on the island of Pašman, which is located in the bay of the same name in the northeastern part of the island, below the highest peak on the island (Bokolj, 274 m). The bay is protected from south and west winds and provides good shelter for boaters and sailors. It is typically a small Dalmatian island village with old stone houses and narrow streets, but also new apartment houses. It was first mentioned in the 13th century, and more intensive settlement began in the 17th century with the arrival of the Ottoman threat and the flight of the population from the Zadar hinterland. Today, Dobropoljana has about 300 permanent residents who are engaged in agriculture, viticulture, olive growing, fishing, and seafaring. Recently, tourism has been developing, and residents are offering apartments, rooms, and holiday homes as part of private family accommodation. In the village, there is a beautiful sandy beach ideal for families with small children. The island of Pašman is connected by boat with the mainland and the city of Biograd, and via the neighboring island of Ugljan with the city of Zadar. As the islands of Ugljan and Pašman are connected by a bridge, there are many opportunities and various activities such as cycling, hiking to the tops of both islands with unforgettable views of the Zadar archipelago, discovering numerous sandy and pebble beaches and hidden coves on the west side of both islands. The sea is very clean thanks to strong currents within the Pašman Channel which divide the island of Pašman and the mainland. Spend your vacation surrounded by peace, quiet, and the scents of Mediterranean plants on the beautiful island of Pašman!
