Jastrebarsko is a town in central Croatia (Zagreb County), located at the foot of the Žumberak mountain and Samoborsko mountain, halfway between Zagreb and Karlovac. The town of Jastrebarsko was named after the hawks, and in German-language sources, it is also called Jaska, which is the popular name of this town. The city was first mentioned in the 13th century in a document of Ban Stjepan, as a center of trade and court.
