Ozalj Ozalj is a small town in the county of Karlovac in Croatia. It is situated on the river Kupa in central Croatia, north of Karlovac. It is near the border with Slovenia, which is only 15 km away. The medieval town of Ozalj is built on a plateau above the Kupa river, and was first mentioned in the 13th century as a free royal city.
