Vela straža is the highest point on the island from which you can enjoy a beautiful view of Šolta and its surroundings. The island of Šolta is also known for domestic honey. The symbol of the island is the owl - “čuvita” why inhabitants of Šolta are also called “čuvitari”.
Šolta is a very accessible island and it is well connected with Split by a regular ferry line. During the season there are eight trips per day and the journey takes less than an hour. We recommend staying in private accommodation offered by the locals who often welcome their guests with a glass of local wine, and homemade fruits, and vegetables.
