Poreč Poreč is a city and a popular tourist destination in the county of Istria in Croatia. It is located on the west coast of Istria in the beautiful harbor. The Old town, historical center of the city is situated on the peninsula, while the newer part of town, hotel, and tourist complexes are located along the coast north and south of the old town. This is the second-largest city in Istria, after Pula, with about 17,000 residents. Poreč has been inhabited since ancient times.
