Brod Moravice is small village and center of the municipality in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. It is located in the western part of Gorski Kotar, at 560 m above sea level. It is located on the old road from Zagreb to Rijeka. Brod Moravice is the oldest municipality in Gorski Kotar, where only 1,000 inhabitants live, making it the least inhabited in entire Gorski Kotar. There are 38 smaller settlements in the municipality. This area is extremely picturesque, surrounded by dense forests with beautiful vistas and mountain paths along the canyon of the Kupa River, which is a natural border to Slovenia.
