Duće is a small tourist town in the Split-Dalmatia county in Croatia. It is situated close to the town of Omiš along several kilometers of beautiful coastline next to the road Omiš - Split. The Duće has about 1500 inhabitants and administratively belongs to the municipality of Dugi Rat. The place is first mentioned in the 12th century when it belonged to the famous Poljice Republic. Until 50 years ago the majority of the population was engaged in agriculture, maritime affairs, and fisheries. Over the last 50 years, the place has been extensively developed thanks to tourism, and most residents are now involved in tourism and offer accommodation in their private homes. The beautiful sandy beach stretches along the entire length of Duće, almost 6 kilometers from Omiš to Dugi Rat.
