Posedarje is a small town and municipality in the county of Zadar in Croatia. It is located about 25 km northeast of the historic city of Zadar on the coast of Novigrad sea. In the municipality of Posedarje is included famous tourist village Vinjerac which is located in the Velebit channel with a beautiful view of the majestic Velebit mountain. Posedarje was first mentioned in the early 13th century under the denomination Possedaria to rectify the Hungarian-Croatian King Andrew II. Local residents in Posedarje were mainly engaged in traditional occupations like viticulture, livestock breeding, and fishing.
