Rogoznica is a popular tourist resort on the Dalmatian coast in Croatia, located in the southernmost part of the Šibenik-Knin county. It is situated in a deep natural bay protected from the wind and big waves, about 30 km south of Šibenik. In Rogoznica lives almost 2500 inhabitants, who are mainly engaged in olive growing, fishing and of course tourism. Rogoznica was already inhabited in the 14th century and in the 16th century, the inhabitants fled the area in front of the Turkish army to safety of the nearby islet of Kopari. The island is covered with pine trees, and the old town is dominated by narrow stone houses which have retained the authentic charm of a small Dalmatian fishing village. We recommend visiting the marine aquarium in the open, the labyrinth of lavender and salt lake Zmajevo Oko. This salt lake located on the peninsula Gradina is unique hydro phenomenon surrounded by high cliffs 4-24 meters and 15 meters deep. In the immediate vicinity of Zmajevo Oko is one of the most beautiful marinas in the Adriatic, Marina Frapa. It has been awarded the Blue Flag and has 10 piers with 700 fully equipped berths. In more than 54 kilometers of coastline along the entire Rogoznica bay, there are numerous sandy, rocky, or the hidden beaches where is guaranteed a full day of relaxing and memorable vacation. One of the most beautiful and most attractive beaches in Rogoznica is pebble beach Šepurine which is ideal for families with small children.
