Sveti Petar u Šumi is a small town and municipality in the county of Istria in Croatia. It is located in the interior of Istria, just ten kilometers from the city of Pazin. It was named after the Benedictine monastery, which was built in the 12th century. The settlement was gradually developed in the immediate area around it.
