Vodice is a town and a popular tourist destination in the Šibenik-Knin county in Croatia. Vodice has less than 9,000 inhabitants and is situated in a wide bay, 11 km northwest of Šibenik. It was first mentioned in 1402, although it was established long ago in Roman times as Arausa. Vodice fields in the hinterland of the town are rich in water and fertile soil, so the town was named after these rich sources of water. In the past, residents were growing mostly olives, vines, and Marasca cherry. Today they are increasingly turning to tourism and providing tourist services — Vodice is now the leading tourist centre on the entire Šibenik Riviera. It offers thousands of accommodation units in hotels, campsites, apartments and small family hotels. Because of all this, Vodice was the winner of the Tourist Flower, awarded to towns with a particularly attractive tourist offer.
Vodice is ideal for guests of different preferences due to the rich content that includes a great variety of beaches.
