Sveti Petar is a small and quiet tourist place in Zadar county in Croatia. It is situated halfway between the much more famous towns of Zadar and Biograd. Lokve is a small mountain village and municipality in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County in Croatia. It is situated in the center of Gorski Kotar halfway between Delnice and Fužine, next to the highway Zagreb-Rijeka. Along the village runs a small river Lokvarka, whose reconstruction in the mid-20th century created a large accumulation lake - Lokvarsko lake. Skradin is a small town in the Šibenik-Knin county Croatia, with a population around 4,000 inhabitants. It is located in a beautiful canyon, at the mouth of the river Krka in Prokljan lake 17 kilometers from the city of Šibenik. Due to its favorable geographical position, fertile land and abundance of freshwater this area have almost 6000 years-long history of settlement. There was once an Illyrian settlement (Scardona) and was the capital of the Liburnians. In the Middle Ages, it was one of the seats of the powerful Croatian noble family Bribir-Šubić. Over time it has lost its importance as a center of the region, which was moved to the nearby Šibenik. The Kornati islands are a very indented group of islands in central Dalmatia, in Šibenik-Knin county in Croatia. It consists of as many as 89 islands, islets, and reefs with a total area of 220 km2. 1980, the entire area was declared a national park due to the exceptional natural beauty and richness of the underwater world and the diversity of fish species. Only 1/4 of the park is land, while the remaining 3/4 of the park makes sea surface, where fishing is prohibited. Pazin is a small town in Croatia and is the administrative center of Istria county. It is located in the center of the Istrian peninsula on the top of steep cliffs below which is a chasm of Pazinčica river, known as the Pazin cave. It was first mentioned in the 10th century as Castrum Pisinum or Pazin fortress which belonged to the former Poreč diocese.
